The release, the journey, and the blade work ahead.
Phantom Blade Zero is S-GAME’s new 3D action game, set in the dark kungfupunk world that has grown through the Rainblood and Phantom Blade series. Chinese martial arts, rain-soaked streets, strange technology, secret organizations, and intense blade combat come together in a large-scale new adventure. Soul’s journey sits at the center of a world shaped by vengeance, loyalty, power, and the cost of surviving long enough to learn the truth.
Phantom Blade Zero launches worldwide on October 29, 2026. Pre-orders opened on August 12, 2026. The game is coming to PlayStation 5 and PC, with PC availability across Steam, Epic Games Store, WeGame, and TapTap. Whether you are choosing a platform, preparing a pre-order, revisiting the trailers, or learning the story for the first time, the key details begin here.
Mark October 29, 2026 on the calendar: Phantom Blade Zero launches worldwide on that date. The game’s pre-order campaign began on August 12, opening the route to the official store and announcement. It is the next major release from S-GAME, bringing the studio’s established martial-arts style into a new 3D action experience.
For a global PC and console launch, choosing a store is part of the experience. PlayStation 5 players can follow the official PlayStation route, while PC players have Steam, Epic Games Store, WeGame, and TapTap. Each storefront serves a different audience and region, giving you room to choose the account and platform that best fits the way you play.
The release matters beyond a single date because Phantom Blade Zero arrives as a major new chapter for S-GAME. The studio is both developer and publisher, keeping the project’s creative direction close to the team that built its world. Liang Qiwei—known to many players as Soulframe—is the producer, founder, and creative director. That continuity gives the game a clear link to the style, atmosphere, and martial-arts identity that made the earlier Phantom Blade universe memorable.
Phantom Blade Zero is launching on PS5 and PC. On PC, the game is available through Steam, Epic Games Store, WeGame, and TapTap. That lineup gives you several ways to choose the storefront that fits your library, account, and region.
Playing on PS5 puts the game on console; playing on PC lets you choose among the listed storefronts. The important launch decisions are simple: pick your platform, choose the store you use, and select the edition that suits you. From there, the world opens into Soul’s story, the shadow of The Order, and the blade-driven action at the heart of the game.
Release timing, pre-order access, and store choice are the first practical questions. The rest is about why this journey is worth following: the characters, the Phantom World, the martial-arts choreography, the weapons, and the events that have revealed the game’s identity.
At the center of Phantom Blade Zero is Soul, an elite assassin of a powerful organization called The Order. After the organization’s patriarch is murdered, Soul is framed for the crime and hunted by the very world he once served. He is badly wounded during the pursuit and survives through a mystic healer’s treatment—but the treatment gives him only sixty-six days to live. That deadline drives the story forward: Soul must cross the Phantom World, evade his pursuers, confront dangerous opponents, and discover who built the trap around him.
The sixty-six-day countdown gives the game’s story a strong sense of momentum. Soul is not setting out on a carefree journey; every lead, fight, and alliance is tied to the time left to clear his name. The investigation leads into a Wulin shaped by betrayal, loyalty, ambition, and the cost of power. The Order is more than a background faction: it is Soul’s former home, the force hunting him, and a key part of the mystery he must unravel.
Longtime fans will recognize the connection to the Rainblood and Phantom Blade lineage, while new players can enter through Soul’s personal story. You do not need to know every chapter of the earlier series to follow his flight through the Phantom World: the central conflict is immediate, personal, and driven by the sixty-six days he has left.
The Phantom World is a dark Wuxia realm where martial arts and technology exist side by side. Its crowded capital, clans, guilds, sects, snowfields, deserts, swamps, and floating imperial city create a world that feels rooted in Chinese martial-arts fiction while reaching into something stranger. Swords and inner force share space with intricate mechanisms, alchemical arts, altered bodies, and knowledge drawn from the mysterious Heavenly Book.
That collision of old and new is the heart of the game’s kungfupunk identity. The Heavenly Book pushes knowledge beyond its era, turning science, martial techniques, and occult practices into tools of power. Killing intent becomes a force tied to survival, vengeance, and conviction; it can elevate a fighter, reshape a body, or destroy the person trying to control it. The result is not a simple historical Wuxia setting, but a world where every faction is wrestling with power that carries a cost.
Soul, The Order, Mirage, Zuo Shang, and the wider Wulin all grow out of these ideas. The Phantom World is built around rain, blood, conspiracy, and martial skill, but it is also a setting where the pursuit of order can be as dangerous as open rebellion. That tension gives every duel and every alliance its weight.
Phantom Blade Zero presents its action through fast, close-range encounters where timing, movement, weapon choice, and pressure all matter. The trailers put blade choreography at the center of the experience: attacks flow through quick changes of position, martial-arts rhythm, counters, and decisive strikes.
Weapons are part of that expression rather than simple decoration. Swords, unusual arms, mechanisms, and different fighting styles share the same visual language. Every clash follows Soul’s movement through a hostile world, giving each encounter the weight of a duel rather than a detached list of combat statistics.
The trailers and event presentations show the game’s identity in motion: blades meeting at close range, bodies changing direction in an instant, and a Wuxia world made physical through animation and sound. From the release date to Soul’s journey and the shape of each fight, Phantom Blade Zero is built around momentum.
